Generally, the upfront cost to our customers decreases as Polymer Synergies takes a greater share of either the intellectual property, the profit from product sales, or some combination of the two. As a result we have a truly unique approach to lowering the R&D costs for organizations while still enabling them to get high quality, fast paced service - all through strategic partnering. Although almost any arrangement is possible, our typical agreements fall into one of four categories:

1. Contract Research & Development

The client funds a Polymer Synergies researcher or team at a fixed rate for a specific period of time. Although the costs are higher with this option, the client retains all rights to intellectual property.

2. Research & Development Partnership

The client funds a Polymer Synergies researcher or team and Polymer Synergies shares in the upfront research and development costs with the client, as well as intellectual property and profits from sales.

3. Technology Licensing

Polymer Synergies offers clients the ability to license intellectual property and technology developed by our scientists in our R&D laboratories.

4. Technical Consulting

Polymer Synergies provides technical consulting services based on a fixed rate for a fixed time period. This arrangement is usually for projects of short duration or for non-laboratory projects.
